DevOps Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Poland



  • Help building company's strategy related to infrastructure
  • Provide on-going environment support for  the company’s cloud based systems (500+ machines), including development, QA, production environments.
  • Create, implement, and support other infrastructure components, including monitoring and configuration management tools. Iterate on any solution to automate it or improve the automation.
  • Prioritize between multiple competing projects in order to build scalable, fault-tolerant systems to help ensure uptime
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance level.
  • Perform systems back-up and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Work on daily basis with Development Team (90+ people) helping to understand and design infrastructure, solve issues and provide consulting
  • Participate in on-duty
  • support fast introduction of new business services for our clients.
  • be responsible for finding and developing new tools and automation for the administration of our SaaS application running on hundreds of servers.
  • take part in efforts for automation, continuous deployment, and global configuration management
  • research new promising tools and technologies, and ways to more elegantly / efficiently solve problems
  • Help with risk assessment and risk management



  • 2+ year experience in system administration
  • Strong Linux skills (preferably of CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based system administration (AWS), configuration management and infrastructure automation
  • Databases management skills (MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra)
  • Knowledge of  shell scripting and other interpreted languages (Perl, Ruby, Python, etc.),
  • Knowledge of  Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. Be a champion for building tools that support engineers building and deploying their own code,
  • Ability to create technical documentation and a desire to share that knowledge among team members,
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across the organization and interact effectively at all levels of peers.
  • Good knowledge of English


  • Experience with containers solutions (Docker),
  • Knowledge in implementation of monitoring for network, server and applications (Nagios, Sensu, Graphite, Grafana, etc),
  • Experience with big data infrastructure (Spark/Hadoop/Mongodb/Hive/etc.),
  • Experience in administration of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Jenkins, RabbitMQ/AKKA/etc., Software load balancer (HAProxy/NGINX/etc.),
  • Knowledge of Configuration management (Chef, Puppet),
  • Knowledge of Centralized logging (Logstash/ELK/etc.),
  • Experience working with AWS/Google cloud/Azure etc.,
  • Experience with test automation,
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
